They also conveyed the desire of Blue Fish members to become trusted partners for political decision makers as well as to participate in the dialogue of the reform of the Common Fisheries Policy. Both Olivier Le Nezet and Nicolas Teisseire expressed their satisfaction for the large number of people that had shown interest in the NGO. With over 512 suppliers representing more than 14 countries, Conxemar is the world’s largest fair of frozen sea products. As its organisers put it, if you buy fish that has at one point has been frozen it has most likely come from one of the suppliers exhibiting their products in the fair. This year’s exhibition was the biggest organised to date, with an increase of 200 stands compared to last year’s fair. According to its organisers, the success shows how the economic activity is picking up and reflects the increased optimism in the sector.
